Our Story

OUR JOURNEY

Alejandro began to learn about the trade of Colombian books in the administrative and operations department of a company pioneer in trading Colombian books to foreign libraries and universities. Alejandro, motivated by his passion for books and his country, he completed his studies in Collection Development in Information Units at the Colombian College of Library Science ASCOLBI and he decided to start the book trade business on his own by establishing Enhacore Books. Subsequently, Alejandro studied Contemporary Curatorial Practices at the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. He specialized in books. The services offered include the coverage of bibliographic material in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador.

Alejandro Herrera has been passionately dedicated to his bookseller profession traveling through all the regional fairs of Colombia, Perú and Ecuador where he finds books of great interest for collections and research, promoting independent publishers, rescuing collections and manuscripts and Finding books really hard to find. In this way, Enhacore Books has been successful in its professional work adding value to its customers through a proposal of books and specialized material, independent and very well selected.

Since 2017, Alejandro is a member of SALALM as a seller and since then he has participated as an exhibitor in all annual SALALM meetings in different parts of the world.
